The Brothers Grimm

I saw The Brothers Grimm yesterday... It looks like a Terry Gilliam film, but beyond that there are a lot of weaknesses. The CGI is looks like its several years behind the times, and there are a few plot holes I still can't figure out... Like why a certain villain abruptly makes it his sworn duty to serve the men he's been harrassing for the entire film. It's not a film anyone would want to take their kids to, but some idiots did... And there are a few scenes that would give any kid nightmares for weeks, particularly the gingerbread man sequence. It's hard to aptly explain how bizarre that was, but, well... The film's meant to be grim. I wouldn't say it was terrible, but I don't know that I'd want to see it again.

But hey, it has Mackenzie Crook in it! Yay!
